Francia is a cover girl! Check out this awesome interview by the amazing Online Magazine – Portrait!

Hi Francia! We last spoke with you in 2007. You’ve certainly come a long way in the two years since. What are some of your fondest memories from the last two years?
Wow. Yeah, a lot has happened in the last two years. Umm honestly everything that I’m experiencing is a memory in itself. Right now the greatest memories are the ones that I’m making with the show. It’s been doing great and I’m so grateful. And of course I just shot another Cutting Edge movie which will be out in March, and that was also such an amazing experience. I can’t even single out one, everything is just a rollercoaster. A good, amazing rollercoaster.

EW.com had this write up on ‘Secret Life’ from last night at the VMAs where Francia attended the event with Shane.  I’ll have more on that in a minute in the gallery.

As everybody gets ready for Tuesday’s season 1 finale of Secret Life of the American Teenager, EW.com has learned a few secrets about season 2, which goes into production this week. At Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, star Francia Raisa (who plays the promiscuous yet feisty Adrian on the show) spilled the beans about a few things that we can expect to see in future episodes. Her report is after the jump.

“There’s a big shocker between Ben and Amy,” Raisa hints. “Just remember, Ben kept insisting on Amy marrying him, and she might actually do it. That’s all I’m saying!”

Besides a possible walk down the aisle for Secret Life‘s token 15-year-old lovebirds, what else is going to go down for Ben and Amy’s classmates? “There’s a bunch of drama going on with my [character's] dad,” Raisa adds, “so there’s more about that. And of course there’s drama with Ricky. There’s a little twist with my character, as well. Just remember, my character said in the first episode, ‘No one ever takes advantage of me,’ so really think about that line…. I know a lot of people will appreciate the little twists that they are bringing into these characters.” 

Soooooo what d you think?  I can’t wait to see what happens with Adrian.

Wow I must have been out of it that I didn’t realize that, The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, won the award it was nominated for at The 2008 Teen Choice Awards.  The show was up for:

TSL took it home!  Here’s what Francia had to say after winning:

“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” starring Francia Raisa (Adrian Lee) wins the 2008 Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Show. Up against hot summer series “America’s Best Dance Crew,” “Degrassi,” “High School Musical: Get in the Picture,” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” was the favored winner, armed by impressive viewer statistics and a quickly growing teen fan base.

“It is such an honor to win an award that is completely decided by your fans” says Francia Raisa. “The Teen Choice Awards was by far one of the most exciting award shows I have ever been to, and the fact that we won was amazing – I appreciate and love my fans so much, I hope they enjoy the rest of season one, we have some great stuff coming up!”

They deserved the win – and I’m incredibly glad for them since this was the show I was rooting for.  I’ve also read interviews from the press about the impact Francia says the show is making on teenagers everywhere. She’s received emails from teens across the country.

Awhile ago Francia was interviewed by About.com in regards to The Secret Life and how everything is working out on the show and she gives her insight into her character and what she [Adrian] goes through.  I agreed with a lot of things she said about Adrian because that’s how I look at it when I watch this show with my brother.  I feel for Adrian and Amy the most but I can’t stand self righteous Grace, I really can’t and I loved when Adrian gave it to her in this weeks episode and Jack layed into her the previous week.

It needed to be said but now he needs to be banged into her head to butt out of people’s lives.  Aren’t Ricky and Adrian just hot?  I think so, but I’d also like to not see her so hung up on him all the time and be the own independent strong woman that she is.

Francia’s Cover Girl interview with All Things Girl continues in this addition of the second part of the interview (you can read the first part here). ATG asked some heavy hitting questions like, Is it difficult being a latina actress in Hollywood? Does she find racism a problem there and much more. Francia answered them extremely well. She also talks vaguely about future projects.
